Mike dedicated his career to creating respectful and nurturing environments. After teaching in St. Louis City and Parkway Public Schools, he became a principal, driven by a simple belief: to run a kinder, gentler school where children feel valued. Over two decades in Parkway, Mike exemplified this vision by treating everyone with respect and kindness. His philosophy was to minimize criticism and maximize praise—believing that people perform their best when they feel supported and believed in. Mike led by example, fostering school communities where students and staff were celebrated every day and encouraged to grow.
Tim's enduring gift was his heart for children. Every year for 25 years, he opened his doors to his former students—whom he considered extended family—and dedicated himself to understanding and supporting each one. His goal was always to teach in a way that best served their unique needs, with a heartfelt desire for their success in life. Tim was a positive role model, mentor, and friend who inspired students to dream big and pursue their goals.
