During my teaching career, Outdoor School was always the highlight of sixth grade. Preparing students—both in the classroom and at home—to understand, accept, and respect one another and the natural world was a true passion of mine. Tim was an incredible mentor and played a significant role in shaping the educator and person I became.

In retirement, I continue this passion through volunteer work with the Missouri Department of Conservation and the Missouri Master Naturalist programs. Helping others understand the importance of caring for the earth and for each other has become my life’s work, and I find great joy in sharing that sense of discovery with the students I teach.

I’m honored to be involved with the Cerutti Family Foundation, where I value the opportunity to connect with our donors and express sincere gratitude for their generosity. I especially enjoy reading scholarship applications from dedicated teachers and helping select recipients whose work best reflects the values and educational philosophy exemplified by Mike and Tim.
