Student Scholarships
What is Outdoor School?
Outdoor School (6th Grade Camp) is a Parkway School District program at Camp Lakewood that gives sixth-grade students a hands-on learning experience.
Students live in cabins with high school student leaders as chaperones.
Educators guide team-building and outdoor education activities.
Examples of activities: fishing, horseback riding, water ecology studies, ropes courses, cave exploration, and campfire programs.
Why it matters
Students learn collaboration, confidence, decision-making, and responsibility.
For many, Outdoor School is a defining moment in their educational journey.
Without scholarship support, families may be responsible for program “loan” balances.
Unpaid balances can follow students through high school, potentially limiting participation in other school activities that celebrate their accomplishments.
How the foundation helps
The Cerutti Family Foundation provides scholarships to ensure all students can participate, regardless of financial circumstance.
Scholarships cover costs so students can focus on the learning and social benefits of Outdoor School, without financial stress.
